Frequently asked questions
Does this also work with the web version of the Workflow Manager?
Currently the generator works with the Workflow Manager desktop apps — the web version is still too new for this. Once it has stabilized, we will follow.
Why do we need workflow documentation?
For everything where traceability counts: audits and certifications, onboarding new employees, aligning changes with business departments — and as a foundation for optimizing workflows deliberately instead of adjusting them blindly.
Do we need draw.io licenses?
No — draw.io (diagrams.net) is freely available. The diagrams can be opened, edited and shared in the browser or the desktop app.
What does “analyzable by AI” mean concretely?
The generated documentation is machine-readable. An AI can therefore fully capture your workflows — and, for example, produce plain-language descriptions, point out inconsistencies or suggest optimizations. How far you want to take that is up to you.
