Instead of switching windows and searching the archive, with ShowDoc one keystroke in your application is enough: the archived document appears instantly — straight from ERP, CRM, accounting or industry software, without changing the application itself.

What sets ShowDoc apart

One call is enough

ShowDoc is invoked as a lean program with a search value — such as the document number, the customer number or the DocuWare document ID. Anything that can trigger a program call can display documents: a function key in the ERP, a button in the industry software, a macro in the accounting system. Dynamic queries are possible as well — for example all documents of a customer from a certain period.

By default, ShowDoc shows the hits in our own lean viewer — for good reasons:

Cloud, on-premise, single sign-on

ShowDoc works with DocuWare Cloud and on-premise alike — cleanly via the official platform API. Sign-in with username and password, Windows login or an identity provider (SSO); credentials are stored encrypted or requested at startup. Multi-client capable: each call selects its own configuration with file cabinet, search field and login. The interface speaks German and English as well as Danish, Croatian, Polish and Swedish, among others.

Which applications can be connected?

Practically any. ShowDoc is invoked as a lean program with search parameters — anything that can trigger a program call, a function key, a button or a macro can display DocuWare documents. In use with AS/400 applications, Immodat, Vendoc, Zkalk, Trade Control, BMD, EuroFib, JET FIBU and SAP, among others. The application itself does not need to be modified.

Does it work with DocuWare Cloud and on-premise?

Yes, both. Users sign in with username and password, via their Windows login or through an identity provider (single sign-on). Credentials are stored encrypted or requested at startup — depending on your security requirements.

What does the user see after the call?

By default our lean viewer, which displays the documents immediately — always at the same screen position, with a result list for multiple hits, index data, stamps and annotations, printing, email dispatch and PDF download. Alternatively, the DocuWare URL Integration opens the hits directly in the Web Client.

Can multiple file cabinets be searched as well?

Yes. The solution is multi-client capable — each call can select its own configuration with file cabinet, search field and login. Linked file cabinets can be searched together, and linked documents let users jump straight to related records.
