DocuWare + Salesforce
DocuWare + Salesforce
Your CRM knows who your customers are — your archive should know too. Our Salesforce integration connects both worlds in real time: via webhooks we receive every change to the desired Salesforce entities — such as accounts — and make the data available to DocuWare: for select lists, Autoindex, workflows and processes. And since we use the official Salesforce API, it works in both directions: reading, writing, editing.
What the integration delivers
Salesforce changes in real time
Via webhooks we receive all changes from Salesforce — to accounts or any other desired entity. No nightly synchronization, no stale data: what changes in the CRM is available in DocuWare practically immediately.
CRM data everywhere in DocuWare
The Salesforce data is available wherever DocuWare needs it:
- Select lists: current customer data is always available when storing and indexing
- Autoindex: documents are enriched automatically with CRM master data
- Workflows and processes: decisions and assignments run on the real Salesforce data
Reading and writing — via the official API
The integration uses the official Salesforce API (Enterprise WSDL). That makes practically everything possible: querying, writing and editing data, intercepting events — and the reverse direction from DocuWare to Salesforce is open as well, for example to write status or document information back into the CRM.
Cleanly built, productive in use
No hobby connector: the integration builds on the official Salesforce interfaces and runs productively with customers — embedded in an environment with queues, logging and automatic retries.

Frequently asked questions
Which Salesforce entities can be connected?
In principle, any you want — accounts are the most common case; contacts, opportunities or custom objects are equally possible. We define the useful entities and fields together, based on your use cases.
How current is the data in DocuWare?
Practically real time: changes in Salesforce trigger a notification that we process immediately — no delayed synchronization runs, no stale select lists.
Does the direction DocuWare → Salesforce work as well?
Yes — via the official Salesforce API we can also write and edit, for example to push status or document information from DocuWare back into the CRM.
Which interface is used?
The official Salesforce API (Enterprise WSDL) — clean, documented and supported by Salesforce. No screen scraping, no unofficial detours.
