DMS Migration to DocuWare

Our migration reads the legacy system and imports automatically into DocuWare — documents and index data together. Your filing structure and search terms are preserved; nobody has to move documents by hand.

We have already carried out the EASY Archiv takeover smoothly for a large customer in the car retail business: several hundred gigabytes of documents including index data — migrated successfully, without any involvement of the old vendor. Data and index data were rescued completely.

A customer ran d.3 and faced strongly increased costs. Our DocuWare offer paid off within a relatively short time — and for the switch we developed our own d.3 importer that converted around 50 GB of accounting data including all index entries fully automatically to DocuWare.

DocuWare Request was the export of DocuWare content including a Windows search interface: search dialog, full-text search, document display in the original format. The product is being discontinued — and Request archives created under old DocuWare versions often can no longer be re-imported. Our DW Request importer imports them anyway, no matter how old the archive is. The target version should be reasonably current; on request we also support earlier target versions.

Your documents belong to you. We get them out of the legacy system without you depending on the previous vendor — even if the cooperation there is ending. EASY Archiv and d.3 are just examples: we take over other legacy systems automatically as well.

You have a DMS with an active maintenance contract and are unhappy? Then we offer you DocuWare at strongly reduced conditions — provided you are willing to cancel the existing maintenance contract. We analyze your situation, look at the strengths and weaknesses of your current solution and create a takeover concept with special conditions.

No — that is exactly the point: documents and index data are taken over together. Your search terms, document types and assignments are preserved and transferred into the DocuWare structures.

No. Our reference migration from EASY Archiv ran entirely without the old vendor’s involvement — several hundred gigabytes, taken over smoothly. You do not depend on the old manufacturer’s cooperation or export services for the switch.

That depends on data volume and structure. Since the takeover runs automatically, the effort is much lower than a manual conversion — after the analysis you receive a realistic estimate.

No. Our DW Request importer brings Request archives back into DocuWare — regardless of which (even long discontinued) DocuWare version they were created under. The target version should be reasonably current; earlier target versions are supported on request.
