With our sproof integration, that stays digital too: the document is handed from DocuWare to sproof sign and delivered to the signers, for example directly from the workflow. Once everyone has signed, we automatically bring the signed document back into the archive, audit trail included — as a new version of the existing document. One file, one history, done.
What the integration delivers
Signing straight from the workflow
The document to be signed is transferred from DocuWare to sproof — automatically from the workflow if desired, with delivery straight to all recipients. Signers need neither DocuWare access nor any software: they sign conveniently via sproof.
Signed and back in the archive — automatically
Once signing is complete, we automatically fetch the signed document including its audit trail and load it straight into the archive. No downloading, no manual filing, no forgetting.
Versioned instead of scattered
The existing document is overwritten with versioning: the signed copy becomes the current version, the unsigned original remains in the history. No “_final_signed_v2” files, no duplicate hits — one file, one document, full traceability.
Legally valid on European ground
sproof sign is the European signature platform from Austria: eIDAS-compliant, hosted entirely in the EU, with all signature levels from simple to the qualified electronic signature (QES, via A-Trust and ID Austria, among others).

How does the document get to sproof and back?

What happens to the unsigned original?

Is the signature legally valid?
Yes — sproof sign is eIDAS-compliant and supports all signature levels up to the qualified electronic signature (QES), which is legally equivalent to a handwritten signature. Hosting is entirely within the EU.
